In early 2007 our Vision Team formed and in June 2007, began work on a new Vision Plan for the future of First United Methodist Church in Cleburne. The following report is a compilation of the work of this team. These visions and goals were decided through a process of prayer and many brainstorming sessions. It is our hope that with the help of our congregation we can formulate a plan to carry on the rich traditions established in 1869 when FUMC was formed and can carry us into the future.

OUR VISION

MAKING DISCIPLES OF JESUS CHRIST FOR THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE WORLD...

- by being informed, guided, and inspired by the written and spoken Word of God. [PRAYER] [BIBLE STUDIES]

- by living out or faith through acts of service using our head, heart, and hands.          
[OUTREACH AND MISSION]

- through ADULT ministries.

- by leading the CHILDREN of our community into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

- by which God gives each of us the ability to SERVE him in many wonderful ways according to the fruits of the Spirit. It is by God's grace that our faith carries us and allows us to make disciples of others through service.

- by providing opportunities for RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER CHURCHES recognizing we are all a part of the Body of Christ.
