Our Santa Fe ministry is one of the ways we partner with God to transform the world one life at a time.  At Santa Fe Elementary School, we build relationships, strengthen skills and share the love of Christ with the students by mentoring, tutoring and hosting Cross-Ties, our Christian after-school program.  We also serve the teachers at Santa Fe by being classroom assistants, providing “thank you” meals throughout the year and sending notes of encouragement.  We serve the broader community of Santa Fe by teaching ESL classes and hosting Las Posadas near Christmas each year.

For information about our Santa Fe Ministry email Pastor Melissa McDuffee,

As a part of our partnership at Santa Fe, we also provide snack sacks each weekend during school to any student who is food insecure.  In the snack sacks, the students receive food to provide nourishment during the weekend and help prepare them for a week of learning.

The First United Methodist Church Financial Assistance Program supports individuals and families within the Cleburne community who are unable to pay a utility bill or rent. This program is not part of the budget, so additional donations are needed for this critical assistance to continue. Thank you in advance for giving so that others do not have to do without shelter, water and/or electricity.

The Stitches of Faith group is open to people of all ages and levels of sewing experience. The group gathers every Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Family Life Center (gym) to sew prayer quilts. The quilts are prayed over and then sent to hospitals, local families or anywhere locally where someone may need to receive the comfort of a quilt “wrapped in prayer.”
