Our Santa Fe ministry is one of the ways we partner with God to transform the world one life at a time.  At Santa Fe Elementary School, we build relationships, strengthen skills and share the love of Christ with the students by mentoring, tutoring, writing letters as pen pals, and hosting Cross-Ties, our Christian After-School program.  We also serve the teachers at Santa Fe by being class room assistants, providing “thank you” meals throughout the year and sending notes of encouragement.  We serve the broader community of Santa Fe by teaching ESL Classes and hosting Las Posadas near Christmas each year.

For information about our Santa Fe Ministry email Pastor Melissa Turkett,

As a part of partnership at Santa Fe, we also provide snack sacks each weekend during school to any student who is food insecure.  In the snack sacks, the students receive meals and snacks to make sure they are fed for the whole weekend.  This ministry fills students bellies and prepares them for a week of learning.

The First United Methodist Church Financial Assistance Program supports individuals within the Cleburne community who are unable to pay a utility bill or rent. This program is not part of the budget, so additional donations are needed for this critical assistance to continue.Thank you in advance for giving so that families may continue to have water and electricity in the heat of the summer months or the cold of winter.

Stitches of Faith is a group of sewers of all ages and experience levels. This group gathers every Thursday at 10am in the Family Life Center (gym) to work on prayer quilts. These quilts are prayed over and then sent to hospitals, local families, and anywhere locally where someone may need to receive the comfort of prayer.

Methodist Men gather on the second Saturday of each month in the Family Life Center (gym) for a time of good food, fellowship, learning from a guest speaker, and to organize for any mission or service opportunities that have arisen in the church or community.

At First United Methodist Church Cleburne we believe that to be the church is to go out into the world! We love our community and we want to be a vital part of the life of Cleburne. Our Community Team is here for just that purpose, to be out in the community, loving people in the way that Christ taught us to love our neighbor. We believe there are so many people who need to experience the love of God and our Community Team is all about connecting people within our community to that love. If you are someone that loves Cleburne and wants to connect with people in our community about Christ and our Church come join the team.
